My name is Kaelan O’Neill, I am a first year MA Fashion student at the Royal College of Art, originally from Houston, Texas. I often say fashion came to me, not the other way around; I have to create as an innate necessity to express myself and make sense of my experiences. I design quite intuitively, focusing on tactile visualizations of particular emotions or feelings, with clothing as the medium. This particular pastel drawing was an intended self-portrait, in which I sought to capture myself as I felt myself to be, rather than how I visually appeared to be.
