In August 2020, Navalny was hospitalised in a serious condition after he was poisoned with a Novichok nerve agent. He was medically evacuated to Berlin and discharged a month later. Navalny accused Putin of being responsible for his poisoning and an investigation implicated agents from the Federal Security Service (FSB) in his poisoning. In February 2021 Navalny was jailed for 3.5 years and his political party disbanded triggering the arrest of more than 1000 protestors across Russia. Tally marks may be used on this T-shirt to denote each day Navalny spends in jail. He was sentenced 02/02/21.
Originally a footwear designer, Benjamin’s work is a hybrid of art and fashion using footwear as a means to express his thoughts, observations and ideas. He has a keen interest in world politics, corruption, abuse of power and geopolitical strategy.
