Gareth Pugh: 'The Reconstruction'
A MAJOR NEW MULTIDISCIPLINARY ART PROJECT IN SUPPORT OF REFUGE
From visionary British fashion designer Gareth Pugh comes a major new creative project titled ‘The Reconstruction,’ launching September 16th and running across London Fashion Week.
Celebrating the eternal interplay between fashion, music and film, for the first time a runway collection will be presented as a visual album. Featuring 13 iconic looks inspired by 13 iconic songs, the collection has been captured by Nick Knight, with an accompanying series of virtual landscapes created by digital artist Jon Emmony.
A groundbreaking mix of fashion and entertainment, this ‘digital fantasia’ is intended not only as a visual tour-de-force, but also as a radical statement of solidarity, with all proceeds going to Refuge, the UK’s leading charity tackling the effects of domestic violence.
Here, key looks from the collection have been re-imagined featuring a series of prints designed by Pugh in collaboration with emerging designer Melissa Mehrtens.
This ultra-limited edition collection is sold in exclusive partnership with HIT + RUN, with all proceeds going to Refuge UK.
